Dr Anne Coffey - Cairns Senior Fertility Specialist with Personal IVF Journey

Dr Anne Coffey is Queensland Fertility Group's Senior Fertility Specialist in Cairns, bringing both professional expertise and personal understanding to her patient-centred fertility care. As the mother of a busy pre-schooler after her own difficult journey with pregnancy loss and IVF, Anne has developed a uniquely compassionate model of fertility care.

Training and Background

Dr Coffey completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Adelaide in 2000 and moved to Cairns in 2002 as a junior doctor. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology across multiple centres in South East Queensland and Cairns. In 2010, she completed her Masters in Reproductive Medicine through the University of New South Wales and was awarded the RANZCOG medal for outstanding achievement in Membership examinations.

Leadership and Teaching

Dr Coffey developed a collaborative service for managing high-risk medical disorders in pregnancy at Cairns Hospital in 2011. As a Senior Clinical Lecturer with James Cook University, she is actively involved in teaching medical students and specialist trainees, contributing to the next generation of women's health specialists.
