Dr Chandrika Parmar is an experienced Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with over 20 years of successful experience in fertility medicine and IVF in Melbourne. She currently practices at Genea Melbourne City and provides fertility-centred gynaecological care.


Dr Parmar commenced her medical training in India, achieving a Master of Surgery and Fellow of the Royal College of Gynaecology before relocating to Australia. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne and undertook Reproductive Endocrine Fellowships at both Mercy Hospital for Women (2005-2006) and The Royal Women's Hospital (2006-2008).


She earned her Master of Reproductive Medicine with Excellence from the University of New South Wales in 2009 and has undergone intensive training in In Vitro Maturation (IVM) in Milan, Italy.

Training & Background

Dr Parmar completed her MBBS in 1995 in India, followed by her Master of Surgery. After relocating to Australia, she trained at Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne and completed two Reproductive Endocrine Fellowships at Mercy Hospital (2005-2006) and The Royal Women's Hospital (2006-2008). She attained her Master of Reproductive Medicine with Excellence from UNSW in 2009.


Dr Parmar has also completed intensive training in In Vitro Maturation (IVM) in Milan, Italy, and holds a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
