Associate Professor David Greening is a highly respected obstetrician, gynaecologist, and fully accredited fertility sub-specialist who has been serving the Illawarra, South Coast, and greater Sydney community for over two decades. Training and Background
Originally from New Zealand, A/Prof Greening graduated from Otago University Medical School in 1986. His diverse medical training began with general practice, including time as a Royal Flying Doctor where he gained his FRACGP qualification. He then completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne before pursuing sub-specialty training internationally - first in Dublin, then in London working under the renowned Lord Robert Winston at the Hammersmith IVF Unit.
A/Prof Greening holds Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility (CREI) subspecialist accreditation - the highest level of fertility training available. He also holds a Master in Bioethics, reflecting his deep commitment to ethical reproductive medicine practice.
Research and Publications
Since 2007, A/Prof Greening has been affiliated with the University of Wollongong Graduate Medical School, contributing to research and education while mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. His groundbreaking research showing that more frequent ejaculation can improve sperm quality and fertility gained worldwide attention and has influenced clinical practice globally.
In 2018, he authored 'The Roadmap to Fertility' (Rockpool Publishers), a comprehensive guide helping individuals navigate their path to pregnancy.
