Dr Derek Lok is a Fertility and IVF Specialist with over 25 years of experience, holding the CREI qualification - the highest in fertility medicine. As Clinical Director of Genea Clinics (Liverpool and Bella Vista), he achieved a historic milestone when the first baby ever born in Australia using egg freezing (vitrification) and IVF was his patient in 2008.
Training and Background
Dr Lok obtained his medical degree (MBBS) in Hong Kong and completed his PhD at the University of Adelaide in 1994, focused on Feto-Maternal Medicine. He undertook specialist training as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Sydney and Adelaide, achieving Fellowship of RANZCOG in 2001.
