Dr Genia Rozen - Melbourne Fertility Specialist with PhD in Oncofertility

Dr Genia Rozen is a Melbourne gynaecologist and fertility specialist with over 10 years dedicated to fertility medicine. As Senior Consultant at Melbourne IVF and the Reproductive Biology Unit at the Royal Women's Hospital, she holds both a PhD in fertility after cancer treatment and a Masters of Reproductive Medicine.

Training and Background

Dr Rozen grew up in Melbourne and completed her medical education at Monash University, graduating with Honours in 2004. She commenced training at the Royal Women's Hospital and undertook three years of subspecialised training in infertility medicine within the Reproductive Biology Unit, covering IVF, reproductive endocrinology, advanced minimally invasive surgery, andrology, and assisted reproductive technologies.

In 2015, she was awarded the NHMRC Scholarship to undertake her PhD investigating uterine fitness for pregnancy following pelvic or total body radiation treatment.

Research and Publications

As Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, Dr Rozen has published widely in Australian and international peer-reviewed journals and authored guidelines on assessing uterine function after radiation therapy.

Dr Rozen specialises in IVF, medical egg/embryo/ovarian tissue freezing, PCOS, and reproductive surgery. She has special interest in male fertility procedures including Testicular Sperm Needle Aspiration (TESA). She cares for couples with infertility, single women, and same-sex couples.
