Dr Gian Urbani - Fertility Specialist in Perth
Dr Gian Urbani runs WA GynaeScope, Perth's centre of excellence for gynaecology and fertility, based at Joondalup Health Campus. With multiple international qualifications and a Masters in Reproductive Medicine, he brings exceptional expertise to his practice and has worked with Fertility North for over ten years.
Training and Background
Dr Urbani holds qualifications including MBChB (South Africa), MMed (O&G), FRCSC (Canada), FACOG, FRANZCOG, and MRepMed (UNSW). He has been an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist since 2001. He trained at the University of the Free State in South Africa, then relocated to Western Canada as a consultant at a large secondary hospital where he developed broad skills in general O&G practice. Since relocating to Joondalup Health Campus in 2011, he has been working as a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
Advanced Training
He has a keen interest and skill in minimal access gynaecological surgery and has linked this skill set with further study in reproductive medicine. In 2013, he completed his Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales, enhancing his expertise in infertility treatment.

His special interests include minimally invasive gynaecology, advanced laparoscopic procedures, colposcopy, urogynaecology, and infertility. He is associated with Fertility North, the prime fertility clinic in the northern suburbs of Perth.
