Dr Haider Najjar is a skilled fertility specialist, obstetrician and gynaecologist who is one of the principal fertility specialists at Melbourne IVF Mount Waverley. He has been a principal Fertility Specialist at Melbourne IVF for over a decade and is a cofounder of Create Fertility.

Training and Background

Dr Najjar graduated in Medicine in 1992 and completed Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Monash Medical Centre, where he also went on to complete a Fellowship in advanced Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive surgery. During his time training at Monash, he received the Young Scientists Award from the International Menopause Society for his research in Premature Menopause. He was also awarded the Travelling Fellowship by the Australian Gynaecology Endoscopic Society for his work conducting laparoscopic training workshops for registrars.

Pioneer in SILS Surgery

Dr Najjar's particular clinical interest is Fertility Surgery and complex laparoscopic procedures, especially those utilising single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS). He is the pioneer of SILS procedures in Australia and internationally, bringing this minimally invasive technique to fertility patients.

Create Fertility

In 2015, Dr Najjar achieved his goal when he and fellow specialists Dr Scott Pearce, Dr Tom Manley and Dr Mei Cheah founded Create Health to provide a wide range of services focused on women's health and wellbeing. Create Fertility was the first Victorian fertility clinic to conduct an ovarian PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) procedure.
