Dr Helen Peric is a Gynaecologist and Infertility (IVF) Specialist based in Sydney. She understands that seeking fertility treatment can be an emotional and stressful time of life and believes her role is to guide her patients through this process as smoothly as possible.
Training and Background
Dr Peric achieved a first-class honours degree in Science at The University of Melbourne, which led to her working in medical research. Her desire for greater clinical involvement motivated her to study medicine at The University of Sydney.
After completing her medical degree, Dr Peric undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Westmead Hospital and later at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. She developed a keen interest in infertility and reproductive medicine, completing sub-specialty training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Genea Fertility Australia.
Research Expertise
Dr Peric has achieved a Master of Human Reproduction and Human Genetics, completing a research project investigating the role of MTHFR polymorphism, a gene mutation, on recurrent miscarriage. This research background informs her clinical practice.
