Dr McDonald obtained her Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 1988. She is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has undertaken advanced training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, earning the CREI subspecialty qualification.
