Dr Kate Burston brings her passion for reproductive medicine and extensive training to Genea Newcastle, specialising in comprehensive fertility care across the Hunter and Mid-North Coast regions. She has a particular interest in male fertility.


Kate completed her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle in 2011, excelling through the International Leadership Experience and Development (iLEAD) Program. She further specialised with a Master of Reproductive Medicine (Excellence) at UNSW in 2021 and was awarded Fellowship of RANZCOG in 2023. She is currently undertaking subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.


As a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle and Staff Specialist at John Hunter Hospital, she is committed to both patient care and medical education.
