Prof Kelton Tremellen - Medical Director and Fertility Innovator

Professor Kelton Tremellen is Repromed's Medical Director and a specialist Gynaecologist holding a sub-specialty qualification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI). He completed a PhD in Reproductive Immunology at the University of Adelaide and was appointed Strategic Professor of Reproductive Medicine in 2015 with a vision of improving access to high-quality fertility treatment for all.

Training and Background

Professor Tremellen received the RANZCOG Gold Medal for first placed candidate in the MRANZCOG examination in 2001. He completed his PhD in Reproductive Immunology at the University of Adelaide and has worked at the Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics at Oxford University, developing expertise in ethical issues relating to reproductive medicine.

Innovations and Research

Professor Tremellen is the inventor of the innovative Egg Timer Test and male fertility pill Menevit. His research led to the development of Menevit, now marketed throughout Australasia by Bayer. His primary research focus is on the impact of nutrition on reproduction, and he is editor of the textbook 'Nutrition, Fertility and Human Reproductive Function' (CRC Press).

Academic Contributions

Professor Tremellen serves on the editorial board of Human Reproduction, has published over 70 original journal articles and book chapters, and holds three patents covering innovations in reproductive medicine. He collaborates with the Robinson Research Institute at the University of Adelaide.
