Fertility Specialist with International Training Across Ireland, UK, and Australia

Dr Louise Fay is a fertility specialist, obstetrician, and gynaecologist with almost two decades of experience. She trained in Dublin at the Irish Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology before completing her fellowship in infertility and reproductive medicine at IVF Australia, the Royal Hospital for Women, and Sydney Women's Endosurgery Centre.

Training and Background

Dr Fay graduated with honours in medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, then undertook specialist training at the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Dublin, gaining membership of the RCOG. She completed higher diplomas in colposcopy, forensic gynaecology, and genito-urinary medicine. Her fellowship brought her to Sydney in 2006, and after returning to work as a consultant at the National Maternity Hospital and Merrion Fertility Clinic in Dublin, she moved permanently to Sydney in 2011. She joined the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before moving to the Royal Hospital for Women, where she continues to work.

She is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and mentors junior medical staff in fertility and reproductive medicine.
