Dr Lynn Burmeister is the owner and Medical Director of No.1 Fertility, with over 20 years experience in helping people achieve pregnancy. She specialises in all aspects of female and male fertility and is recognised as one of Australia's leading IVF and fertility specialists.
Lynn is a Royal Australian College recognised Fertility Specialist, holding the CREI (Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility) – the highest degree for a fertility specialist. This is a 3-year degree completed on top of her specialist training as an obstetrician and gynaecologist.
Her potential was spotted early by IVF pioneer Professor Carl Wood while she was training. She went on to complete two years of her CREI training at the world-renowned Cornell University in New York, studying and working with world fertility leader Professor Zev Rosenwaks at the prestigious Ivy League hospital.

Training & Background
Dr Burmeister initially planned to become a surgeon, but while she was training her potential was spotted by IVF pioneer Professor Carl Wood, who mentored her into the field of reproductive medicine.
After practicing through Monash IVF for many years, she opened No.1 Fertility at the beginning of 2018. The clinic now has locations at East Melbourne, Collins Street Melbourne, Geelong and at the Epworth in Richmond.
Philosophy
Dr Burmeister is known for her warm, compassionate approach and her commitment to providing personalised fertility care. She believes every patient deserves individualised treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances, and takes the time to explain complex fertility issues in plain language.
Education & Training
Melbourne University (graduated with honours). Internship at Austin Hospital. RANZCOG qualifications including two years surgical training. Further O&G training at Monash Medical Centre. Two years completing CREI degree at Cornell University with Professor Zev Rosenwaks.
