Dr Rod Allen is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who provides comprehensive fertility treatment, pregnancy management, and delivery care. As a father of five himself, he brings special empathy and warmth to managing fertility issues and pregnancy journeys. With over 4,151 babies delivered, he has extensive experience guiding families from conception through to birth.

Training and Background

Dr Allen was inspired to become an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist during a placement in Armidale. He completed his post-graduate studies in Queensland, working in major hospitals across South East Queensland including the Mater Mothers, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital. The Roma-based Flying Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service provided valuable experience in managing pregnancy and gynaecology surgery for women in remote regions.

Dr Allen works as a consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and IVF Specialist at Life Fertility and the Wesley Hospital, Auchenflower. His consulting rooms are located within Life Fertility Clinic, Bowen Hills, and he delivers at Wesley Hospital Maternity. His practice welcomes rural, interstate, and international patients, with interpreter services available.
