Associate Professor Gavin Sacks is one of Australia's premier fertility specialists with over 20 years of experience at the forefront of reproductive medicine. He holds subspecialty qualifications in Reproductive Medicine from both the United Kingdom (CCSST) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
A/Prof Sacks now consults with Genea Fertility at their Sydney CBD and Bondi Junction clinics, where he continues his clinical practice and research leadership. He also maintains appointments as Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales, Visiting Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, and Visiting Medical Officer at St George Hospital. He established the Miscarriage Clinic at the Royal Hospital for Women.

Training & Background
A/Prof Sacks completed his medical training at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford in the United Kingdom, including a degree in experimental psychology. He undertook a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in reproductive immunology at the University of Oxford, where he conducted pioneering early studies on natural killer cells in pregnancy and the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia—work that remains widely cited today.
He completed specialist training in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine in London before emigrating to Sydney in 2005. He is a trailblazer in fertility care and the creator of "The Bondi Protocol"—an innovative immune therapy based on his cutting-edge research into recurrent miscarriage and repeated IVF failure. This therapy has been adopted by fertility specialists across Australia to treat implantation failure and recurrent miscarriage.
Research & Academic Appointments
A/Prof Sacks has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers in the fields of pregnancy, reproductive immunology, infertility, miscarriage, and pre-eclampsia. He was formerly Associate Editor of the prestigious journals Human Reproduction and Human Reproduction Update.
His research interests include natural killer cell testing and immune therapy, recurrent miscarriage, repeated IVF failure, LH supplementation, innovative stimulation protocols, genomic screening, sperm AI/advanced sperm selection technologies, and egg quality supplementation. He lectures regularly at national and international conferences and teaches and examines for the Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Reproductive Medicine degrees at UNSW.
He is currently working on a book titled "The Origin of Hope" about the nature of reproduction, our origins and our future.
